Michael Ermie becomes victorious at the HPO Toledo Regional Main Event
Hollywood Poker Open Toledo $1,115 Regional Main Event was won by Michael Ermie. He topped a record 2nd pack of 323 participants for an HPO regional main event and he got $60,017 in 1st place prize money.
Michael Ermie now has more than US$ 200000 in lifetime event earnings and this is his 3rd first-spot end. In general, a cash-game player, Michael told that he take part in a few tournaments each month. Certainly, he would not regret taking some time off of his general grind for this tournament, as he booked the largest live event win of his career.
With a contract happening between the last 3 players, the event was over quite soon. Ermie ended the event with over half the chips in play that allowed him to get the most amount of money and the victory out of the contract.
Ermie earned most of his bunch at the final table when he did away with both Alex Barill in 6th spot, then Zach Andrews in 5th spot. On both hands, he made a flush. Against Alex, he hit a flush on the river after both players were all in. After that, against Andrews, Michael shoved all in over the top of a river bet from Zach. Zach called with a straight, but that was nothing great against Ermie’s flush.
From that point, there was relatively a very smooth sailing for Ermie. He said that he does not believe that he recently have had edge 3 handed. But once he got to about half the chips in play, he thought that he could win.
