Bovada Enters The Online Poker Market
The Bovada is a very popular name as far as poker is concerned. It has re-entered into the poker world through an online poker site.
Bovada was acquired by Ignition Casino last year. This surprised many. But, they have re-entered the market and created a bit of confusion in the poker market. They will be serving the US markets mostly. They will also expand their wings to eight other countries that include Argentina, Venezuela, Peru, Bolivia, Chile, Brazil, Colombia, and Mexico.
Bovada along with its Bodog Poker site was very popular before they went for sale. They were founded in 2000 and was the 3rd largest poker room in the world. The sale of the Bovada to Ignition was a big surprise as no one had heard a lot about the operation of Ignition. The parent group of both Bovada and Ignition is the Bodog Poker Network It has changed its name to Pai Wang Luo Poker Network. This was done after a Hong Kong group purchased this popular network in February. This is how the Bovada room is getting re-launched.
Calvin Ayre, the founder of Bovada and the Bodog Poker site, was set free from prosecution after the US federal prosecutors put off the charges that were filed against him about five years ago. This was a long-standing case of Calvin and he should be really happy that he has got away from the charges of money laundering and illegal gambling. There is a lot expected from the revived or re-born Bovada. It was in the game all the while during its exile as well. It was offering sports book action and casino since moving to Ignition.
Ignition, on the other hand, had recently announced that it is ready to give Australian players a chance to play despite many big names pulling out of the Australian market.
